Braskem Idesa is aligned with the internal policy practiced by Braskem and Idesa, supported by three basic principles: ethics, transparency, and respect (with clients, members, shareholders, suppliers and all other stakeholders with which the company relates).

Braskem, the majority shareholder of Braskem Idesa, is a publicly traded company and participates in Corporate Governance Level 1 of the São Paulo Stock Exchange (BM & F Bovespa) since 2003. Outside of Brazil, Braskem shares are also traded on New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Latibex - the Latin American section of the Madrid Stock Exchange - and, therefore, are subject to the requirements of the respective regulators, which are, Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), in the United States, and Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) in Spain.

Braskem was one of the first foreign private issuers (FPI) in South America to comply, in 2005, with the requirements of Sections 404 and 302 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).

Ethics Commission and Ethics Line

Created to record, investigate and promote decisions involving allegations of violations of the Code of Conduct, the Ethics Commission is an important tool to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of processes and internal controls of Braskem Idesa.

The reports are made through the Ethics Line, a channel open to members, clients, suppliers and other stakeholders, to report irregularities in the company's processes. The reports are anonymous and the facts are treated with absolute confidentiality. All reports are carefully and responsibly analyzed, contributing to transparent management and a safer and healthier environment.

Public Commitment

In 2002, the year of its foundation, Braskem released a Public Commitment with its performance-driven guidelines. It highlights the commitment to sustainable development and the economic and social growth of the regions and communities where it is present.
